Heart of the Family Tea Box
A VERY special Teabox reminding us about the importance of family. The pyrography and brass filigree heart on the lid is a metaphor for our love of family, with all of the various people and parts represented by swirling flourishes, each independent, and each special. Adjectives that come to mind in this box: deep, dark, broody, subtle, and sophisticated. The lid features some of the most beautiful highly figured Claro Walnut in the world from Cook Woods. The Box itself is made from ebonized Black Walnut, and the divider system is made from the same beautiful Claro Walnut as the lid. My signature plaid is on the inside of the lid. Brass splines at the corners complete the look. Finished in walnut oil and shellac. My wife says that this is her most favorite box that I've ever made.
