Claro Walnut (Juglans hindsii) can be found throughout California and up the Pacific Coast of the United States where they can grow to the ripe ago of 250+ years. It can have the most beautiful coloring profile, almost as if it was painted by the universe. This particular piece of Claro Walnut is BOTH curly and colorful, an extremely beautiful example of the nature that resides inside of trees. The base of this stunning board is a beautiful knotty piece of ebonized Eastern Black Walnut with inlaid brass along the sides. The conservation status of this tree is currently “Least Concern” by the IUCN 3.1 index. Finished in food safe shellac. Approximate dimensions are 24” L x 7” W x 2” H.
