Zen. An unbelievably colorful Black Walnut serving board with copper and ceramic mandala inlay by the very talented Kristy Edmonds @californiasoulshine ❤️ . Kristy’s ceramic mandalas are beautifully detailed and colorful which plays beautifully off the colors in this air-dried piece of New England Black Walnut. The slow air drying process (as opposed to rapid kiln drying) is essential to preserve the wonderful colors present in the Black Walnut tree. In addition this board transitions from dark heartwood to lighter sapwood exposing all the wonderful colors that nature has to offer. On the opposite end of the board with in the inlaid ceramic trivet, is a copper inlay reinterpretation of the mandala. Finally a hand sculpted base and food safe @osmo_usa top oil complete the look. Approx 26" long by 7-8" wide.
