A beautiful EveryDay Tray where I let Nature be the ultimate designer. This tray exhibits one of the most beautiful woods I have ever seen, Black Walnut Crotch. The flame burst pattern is the result of wood growth at the junction between two main trunks of the tree, holding them together, where immense mechanical stresses exist. This disorganized cellular structure leads to indescribably beautiful patterns and chatoyance. The tray frame is made from New England Black Walnut. Finished in food safe shellac and/or wax.
