A beautiful EveryDay Tray featuring the traditional Japanese Pattern Seigaiha, The Wave Pattern. Patterns such as this have long been a part of the artistic culture of Japan for over 300 years and can be found in almost every form from wood block prints, to textiles. It is an honor to pay homage to such a rich cultural tradition. The pattern is inlaid in brass and the tray frame is made from New England air dried Black Walnut. Finished in food safe shellac and/or wax. Approximate dimensions 14”L x 8”W x 1”H.
